Spring Check Valve/Swing Check Valve
To replace a check valve you will typically need to add in a piece of piping to allow for the piece cut out. If you do not have the slack in the piping to make the glue joint bottom out a leak may occur.
When gluing the valve into place try to hold the valve in a way that any access glue will not run into the valve seat. Damage to the valve seals will occur and a new valve will be needed.
The hose bib or drain valve is installed and connected to the bottom drain in the hot tub to allow customers to drain their spas using a typical garden hose. You will find it inside the equipment area.
To replace a hose bib you will need to use Teflon tape on the threads or a leak may occur.
Do not over tighten or you may crack the female threaded fitting.
